Professional Groomer

Job Overview:
Chapin Pet Lodge is looking to add a Professional Dog Groomer to our growing team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled groomer who takes pride in their work and enjoys building relationships with both pets and their owners. Our grooming salon offers a relaxed work environment with an established clientele and room to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform grooming services including but not limited to bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trims, and ear cleaning to a variety of dog breeds with a focus on larger breeds

• Style pets according to client preferences

• Ensure the safety and comfort of pets throughout the grooming process

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area and equipment

• Communicate with clients regarding grooming needs and preferences

• Other tasks as assigned

What We Offer:

• Established and growing client base

• Spacious grooming area 

• Stationary equipment will be provided (table, tub, dryers)

• W2 & pay based on commission: 50% commission on fee of all dogs groomed for top quality groomer

 

Schedule & Availability:

• Weekday scheduling and optional weekends

Qualifications:

• Previous professional grooming experience required (1+ years)

• Ability to groom a variety of dog breeds and coat types, primarily larger breeds

• Must have your own grooming tools 

• Good communication, and customer service skills

• Patience working with all breeds

• Excellent work ethic, punctual, reliable, professional, and self-motivated

 

Work Environment:

• Physical ability to lift, maintain control, and groom multiple dogs of various sizes per day

• Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time
